27 Oct Meditation
Feeling tired and sluggish all the time? Believe me, I know the feeling. We all know what the cure is; Eat right, drink plenty of water, get enough – but not too much – sleep every night and finally, exercise.
If you ask me, that is a catch 22. I am tired, so I have to exercise, to get energy?! Where do I get the energy to exercise?!…it is a vicious circle. But I have made a discovery, not a new discovery, people have been doing this since the beginning of time, but I just never put it is the energy gaining exercise column. I have just realized how great breathing exercises are. It is a great first step and extremely beneficial. Now if you are too tired to breathe, we have a serious problem.
We will take this nice and slow. Only introduce breathing and meditation exercises for the next 3 weeks. According to mayo clinic and urbanbalance.com, the benefits from breathing exercises will help with mind, body and soul. Below is just a small list of benefits.
Decrease blood pressure
Relieve pain
Stimulates lymphatic system
Improve immunity
Increases energy
Improves digestion
Supports correct posture
Decreases stress level (therefore, improving every aspect of life from work to relationships)
Increases focus
Decreases anxiety, stress and anger
Improves cardiovascular system
Who knew while sitting on the couch or in your cubicle you could do an exercise that helps with your lungs, mind and heart. By expanding your lung compacity, delivering correct amount of oxygen in your blood to your brain, and keep that heart beating strong. Through all my research, I have not found an easier way to exercise other than breathing and meditating. Most people will give up on a new exercise routine if it starts too difficult or rigorous. Due to the ease of this exercise (for the average person) with this method, we can all improve our lives. Do it for yourselves or your loved ones, or make a bet out of it, but just start doing it and see what changes it makes in your life. I hope you find it as beneficial as I did and spread the word. Let’s get ourselves and our loved ones moving.
